How much sex are your friends really having?

Whether we’re single or in a relationship, most of us, at one point or another, have confided in friends about how much sex we’re having—or not. The impulse to compare notes about our sex lives scratches at a very strong itch: We want to know how we stack up against our peers.


After all, from the media frenzy over our generation’s so-called “hookup culture” to the rise of dating apps like Tinder to the notion that we’re more open with our sexuality than ever before, the expectation has been set that we’re doing it all the time. But are we really?


In this segment from Fusion’s original half-hour TV series Sex. Right. Now., I set out to satisfy everyone’s curiosity by exploring how much sex young people are actually having sex—and perhaps more importantly, whether more sex equals greater happiness. Come along!
