Conan
Usually when male comedians make jokes about vaginas they are—how do I put this—f*cking terrible. They’re all vaginas are gross, periods are scary, women suck. Blah blah blah.
But one man is proving you don’t have to be a douche when you joke about the female anatomy. Meet Matthew Broussard, a stand-up comic who was once named “Houston’s funniest person.” Broussard recently appeared on Conan, where he devoted nearly his entire set to jokes about vaginas.
This may sound like a recipe for disaster, especially for someone who looks as bro-ey as Broussard—but it wasn’t. Rather than focus on the sex aspect of the vagina, Broussard, whose mother was a biologist, made a series of medically accurate jokes using adult terms like “vulva” and “Skene’s gland” (starts at 1:09).
He also brilliantly skewered the fact that nearly every part of a woman’s reproductive system is named after a man.
Comedy. It’s funny because it’s true.
